New Year classes in 3 easy steps

I don’t know about you, but I like to make the most of January and look at life afresh.  I’ve set myself the challenge of improving my photography and I’m going back to school.  I love setting myself a new challenge, and as a teacher myself it’s really interesting to see how other tutors and students interact with each other.

If you fancy trying something new, how about signing up for a floristry class with Kent Adult Education?  My teaching style means that my classes are suitable for beginners and those that have a bit more experience.

Each of the courses are very reasonably priced at under £100 – classes vary in length (one and three-quarter hours and two hours) and are either six or eight weeks long. In all cases you’ll need to supply your own flowers and foliage – dishes, floral foam and other “mechanics” are available to purchase week by week.

1. There are three places left at the Ashford Gateway on a Monday evening (7.15-9pm) starting on Monday 26 January for eight weeks.     The cost of this course is £89 – we’ll be covering funeral and wedding designs, both of which can be adapted to enjoy at home as table arrangements or given as gifts.

2. After the success of the short Christmas flowers course at Deal a follow up class is being offered.  It starts on Tuesday 27 January (1.30-3.30pm) for six weeks.  Again it’s suitable for novices and those with more experience.  The cost of this course is £95.

3. If Wednesday is a better day for you, you’ll be pleased to hear that there are six places left on the 10am-12 noon class at the Ashford Gateway.  This course is exactly the same as the Monday evening class and starts on 28 January for 8 weeks and costs £99.
