Keep learning

Its never too late to start learning.

Class starts again at Kent Adult Education this week.  I’m really looking forward to meeting the ladies (and perhaps, gentlemen) who have signed up to my three week wedding flowers class starting in Canterbury on Tuesday 21 April.

Over the holidays I got a lovely note from Linda who came to class just before Easter.  Linda and the other course members were all flower arranging novices and I think it was probably with some trepidation that they walked into the floristry studio at the beginning of their introduction to flower arranging course.

Over the weeks we talked about conditioning flowers, soaking flower foam and what flowers might work best around our homes.  My favourite class was when we took bunches of inexpensive flowers and added lots of garden greenery to make stunning arrangements in vases of water.

And what about Linda?  She entered her local flower show and at first attempt won a prize.  Here’s what her note said “just thought I would let you know that I did enter the local Spring Show and I won 3rd prize! Thanks for your excellent tuition.”

If you’d like to join me at class, there are some spaces still available on my eight week course on a Wednesday morning in Ashford, starting on 29 April.  You can book direct here, or drop me a line for more information.
