Come and join me at a flower arranging workshop on Wednesday 24 May at Doddington Place Gardens (just outside Faversham).
Doddington Place is surrounded by wooded countryside in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the North Downs. It is known for its lovely landscaped gardens – recognised as being of historic importance by English Heritage. The 10-acre garden is set in the grounds of an imposing Victorian mansion.
There is a notable woodland garden – spectacular in May and June – which includes many different varieties of rhododendrons and azaleas; also a large Edwardian rock garden with pools; a formal sunk garden with herbaceous borders, and a flint and brick folly. Extensive lawns and avenues are framed by impressive clipped yew hedges and many fine trees.
On arrival you’ll be welcomed at the Coach House with tea/coffee. The Head Gardener will take you on a tour of the gardens and then you’ll have the opportunity to pick your own flowers from the gardens.
After a light lunch, the Coach House will be the venue for our flower arranging workshop – you’re welcome to stay on after the workshop finishes to enjoy the gardens at your leisure.
Aprons, scissors and buckets will be provided.
Please bring your own vase/jug for your flower arrangement – and ensure you wear appropriate footwear and clothes for spending a day in garden.
Advance book is essential – please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Tickets £75 per person.
