Lonely Bouquet

Lonely Bouquet flower arrangements in tin cans

Make a note in your diary – its National Flower Arranging day on Friday 6th May 2016. Flower clubs across the country are going to celebrating by leaving small bouquets of flowers – lonely bouquets – in the streets as a random act of kindness. This event is something that my own flower club has taken part in for the last three years and I’d say that the cheerful bouquets members of Faversham Flower Club have placed around town have been much appreciated by members of the public.

NAFAS Honorary Patron and Chelsea Flower Show presenter Nicki Chapman sums up this Lonely Bouquet Day as a wonderful way of having the opportunity to say “’hello, I hope these flowers make your day a little better…”.

I’ll be joining in the fun again this year – so if you’re local to Faversham make sure you check for a tweet from me on Friday morning and I’ll give you a clue as to where you can find my lonely bouquet.  Just one bouquet this year – rather than the six I left around town in 2013…

Good luck with finding – or leaving – your lonely bouquet. Here's my post on last year's celebration.
