We’ve been enjoying some fabulous weather in Kent over the last few weeks – which has meant lots of after work trips to the open air pool, here in Faversham.
This weekend we went for an evening stroll along the beach at Seasalter which is about a 10 minute drive away through the orchards and fields of sheep. It really is quite idyllic. I love this stretch of coastline for its bleakness. The tide was out. The sea flat. And we pretty much had the beach to ourselves.
Seasalter has ribbons of sand amongst the shingle, with the sea wall giving protection to all sorts of plant life. A veritable garden by the seaside!
With the summer holidays approaching, our local horticultural shows are in full swing. I’ve just had a lovely to note from one of my Kent Adult Education students to tell me that she had won two first prizes for flower arranging at her local Summer Horticultural Show – well done Linda!
“It was all down my teacher and the confidence you gave me to have a go! Thanks”
