I’m diving in with my good news. February’s been a good month. I found out that I’m a finalist in the 2016 Kent Women in Business Awards and on Monday (29 February) I’m launching FlowerStart – my 4-week online flower arranging class.
Developing this new teaching product has been a turning point in my business. I’d often hear from ladies who’d say they’d like to come to class but couldn’t commit to a particular day, venue or time. We all lead busy lives. For a long time, all I did was commiserate with them, suggest other course providers and adjust my programme of workshops. Then I thought – why not design a class that can be taken anywhere and at any time? And so, the FlowerStart workshops were developed.
FlowerStart is a 4-week online flower arranging course. Lessons are delivered to your inbox in bit-sized chunks three times a week, meaning you can work through the classes at a time to suit you. I’ll be on hand throughout to give you support and encouragement through a dedicated Facebook group. You get to keep the lessons, so you can go back to refresh your memory, or catch up on a lesson you’ve missed.
Week by week FlowerStart is designed to take you through the process of deciding what flowers to buy, the best place to display them in your home and much, much more. Each week we’ll create an arrangement together – from a stylish display of flowers all in one colour, to an arrangement in a vintage tea cup and saucer, through to a casual arrangement of countryside flowers in a jug, and a tied posy you could gift to a friend.
No matter where you are on your flower adventure – whether flowers are a weekly essential or an occasional treat – FlowerStart will shape your flower appreciation and arranging skills. Fingers crossed you’ll be inspired by this course and you’ll soon be arranging flowers for flowers your home, work place or that special occasion, without its costing the earth.
I’ll be sharing how to get creative with flowers and make your floral budget work for you. Learn how to garden flowers and foliage with a few carefully chosen purchases from your local flower seller to give you pleasure, lift your heart and provide a warm welcome to your home.
Over the next four weeks FlowerStart will help you to see the world with new eyes. You’ll learn to activate your flower brain and floral senses to explore and experience colours, textures and fragrances. Fancy joining me to discover the many ways flowers can enrich and enhance your life and your home?
There’s still time to join the FlowerStart team. Email me [email@example.com] and I’ll send payment details – this course is exceptional value at only £129.
