Doddington Place Gardens – garden tour and DIY hand tied bouquet
May 25 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm£75
In celebration of the Chelsea Fringe I’m co-hosting a flower arranging workshop with the team at Doddington Place Gardens, here in Kent on Friday 25 May.
Doddington Place is surrounded by wooded countryside in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the North Downs. It is known for its lovely landscaped gardens – recognised as being of historic importance by English Heritage. The 10-acre garden is set in the grounds of an imposing Victorian mansion.
There is a notable woodland garden – spectacular in May and June – which includes many different varieties of rhododendrons and azaleas; also a large Edwardian rock garden with pools; a formal sunk garden with herbaceous borders, and a flint and brick folly. Extensive lawns and avenues are framed by impressive clipped yew hedges and many fine trees.
On arrival you’ll be welcomed with tea/coffee. The Head Gardener will take you on a tour of the gardens and then you’ll have the opportunity to pick your own flowers from the gardens.
After a light lunch I’ll show you how to create your own unique hand tied bouquet. You’re welcome to stay on after the workshop finishes to enjoy the gardens at your leisure.
Aprons, scissors and buckets will be provided.
Please wear appropriate footwear and clothes for spending a day in garden.
Advance book is essential – click here (via PayPal) or email email@example.com and I’ll invoice you.
Tickets £75 per person.
